ABOUT GREGOIRE VOGELSANG
Grégoire Vogelsang is a Belgian art dealer whose unconventional path have shaped a distinct curatorial approach. His diverse professional experiences give Vogelsang Gallery a unique ability to introduce and position its artists in new and competitive markets.
His career began at age 15, when he quit school to learn English in San Francisco, where a planned three‑month stay became a two‑year apprenticeship at Rue de Grenelle Antiques— a specialist in 18th‑ and 19th‑century antiques with locations in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Starting with simple tasks such as waxing furnitures, this early immersion offered him firsthand insight into craftsmanship, art history, and the workings of the market.
Back in Belgium, he pursued his growing interest in communication and media. At 17, he hosted his own daily program on national radio station Bel-RTL ("Les defis de Monsieur Gregoire"), followed by work for ELLE Decor and in TV production for RTL for 3 years. These experiences sharpened his communication skills and his talent for engaging audiences, foundations he later built upon in contemporary art.
He went on to manage the Brussels branch of a french contemporary gallery for two years before moving to New York in 2008 to oversee Events and Marketing for YJRG, an hospitality group which operated a portfolio of eight acclaimed Manhattan venues. Known for their exclusivity and high standards, these establishments drew a discerning audience, among them many art collectors. Making use of his position with YJRG, he took the initiative to organize exhibitions for young European artists within its venues. The enthusiastic reception from New Yorkers to his curated shows encouraged him to take the next step.
In 2011, he founded Vogelsang Gallery in New York as a platform to curate exhibitions and introduce international artists to the U.S. market. The gallery later established a permanent space in Brussels, expanding its presence while strengthening its global reach. What began as a small but ambitious initiative has, in almost 15 years, evolved into a recognized presence on the international art fair circuit. With over 60 art fairs participations in major markets including Miami, New York, Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Palm Springs, Istanbul, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore, the gallery is a regular exhibitor at some of the leading and most critically acclaimed art fairs.
In 2016, he also founded Cube Art Fair, an international art fair with 11 successful editions to date in New York, Miami, and Brussels, presenting contemporary artists to a global audience.
With Vogelsang Gallery and Cube Art Fair, he continues to push the boundaries of how contemporary art is experienced, aiming to redefine its place in the global cultural landscape.

While in New York, many of the young European artists he had previously collaborated with sought his support to showcase their work in the city. He began curating exhibitions in the venues he managed, placing their pieces in front of engaged and knowledgeable collectors.
